چکیده

In the present study, a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) procedure was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of seven water-soluble vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, cyanocobalamin, ascorbic acid, folic acid, and p-aminobenzoic acid) and four fat-soluble vitamins (retinol acetate, cholecalciferol, α-tocopherol, and phytonadione) in multivitamin tablets. The linearity of the method was excellent (R > 0.999) over the concentration range of 10–500 ng mL. The statistical evaluation of the method was carried out by performing the intraand inter-day precision. The accuracy of the method was tested by measuring the average recovery; values ranged between 87.4% and 98.5% and were acceptable quantitative results that corresponded with the label claims.

Analysis of water-soluble vitamins from multivitamin tablets for nutrition labeling

In this Application Note we describe an application solution to carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis of water soluble vitamins. We developed a single and robust reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method for simultaneous determination of 10 different vitamins unlike a number of different traditional methods which quantify the components individually. Separ...

Simultaneous Analysis of Water-Soluble Vitamins in Vitamin-Enriched Beverages and Multivitamin Dietary Supplements by UHPLC-MS/MS

Vitamins are nutrients essential to human health, and are present in almost all types of foods. In addition to food sources, vitamin supplements are often consumed to ensure adequate vitamin intake, as a customary diet does not always provide sufficient vitamins due to bias and/ or limitation in the choice of foods, or malfunctions in digestion and ingestion. Vitamin supplements are available i...

Simultaneous determination of B-vitamins and ascorbic acid in multi-vitamin preparations by reversed-phase HPLC.

The tedious and time consuming methods employed for the analysis of individual B-vitamins can now be replaced by ion-pair reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) methods. This laboratory has previously reported the simultaneous determination of eight water-soluble vitamin standards that is, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, niacin, niacinamide and folic acid. The proposed isocratic HPLC...

Simultaneous RP-HPLC and UV Spectroscopic Method Development and Validation for Estimation of Ibandronate Sodium in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form

The present study describes a simple, accurate, precise and cost effective UV-Vis Spectroscopic and RP-HPLC method for the estimation of Ibandronate sodium (IBN). The determination of Ibandronate sodium (IBN) was performed by both UV and RP-HPLC method using 215 nm as the determination wavelength. The drug was dissolved in NaOH solution (0.1N NaOH) for estimation in UV and in distilled water fo...
